Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a “miraculous” icon(Imago Beatae Mariae Virginis miraculis illustris) dating from the 14th century, of the Byzantine type, known in Russian as Strastnaya (from Strast ': Passion, with instruments of the Passion). Cretan origin according to legend, its iconographic type was attributed to Andréas Ritzos around 1492.

The Minor Basilica of Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours in Paris (11th) honors a representation of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In June of each year, a novena dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help is recited.
