Cross known as the Cross of St James in 925 silver, enamelled in red.

This very well-known cross is the replica of the one which adorns
the statue of the apostle St James in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
It was also worn by the knights of the Order of St James of the Sword.
The brothers of the order wore a white garment with a gold shield bearing
in a deep red cross a sword with a fleur-de-lis at its hilt.
The design of this cross originates
in the tales from the life of the apostle St James that recount
how he used the sword to defend himself against his enemies.
