Created with ethical values related to fair trade, this ornament is handcrafted using the traditional Indian embroidery technique called 'zardosi.' It was specially designed for Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral.

The workshop that creates these small crosses specializes in crafting hanging decorations. All these decorations are handmade, and the time required for each piece reflects its unique quality.

For over 30 years, the workshop has been partnering with a small charitable organization in Thailand that helps women find profitable work within their rural communities instead of leaving their families to work in cities.

Today, nearly 200 women work from home to assemble and sew these decorations. The workshop takes pride in being a member of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers) and supporting the 10 principles of fair trade, as indicated by the World Fair Trade Organization.
